Mercedes-Benz India Sales Up to 31 listed

New Mercedes E 300 previous and now Mercedes-Benz India Sales Up to 31 listed New Delhi in November has proved profitable for a little car, after a slowdown in sales in the third quarter of this year. Although the company's sales target is likely to be missed, Mercedes-Benz registered a sales increase of 31% for January to November, 2011. Lates Information The company sold 6698 units for January to November, 2011 as against 5110 units during the same period last year.

Overwhelmed by the growth, Mr. Peter T Honegg (Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India) said, “Mercedes-Benz has always been committed to offering the latest and best to its valued consumers across its products and services. This is seen through our consistent launches and product offerings, which have helped continue our growth momentum. While we are encouraged by the positive traction, we are keeping a close eye on market situation and will continue to focus upon long term, sustained and profitable growth.”

The company’s expansion in operations in Tier II cities like Raipur and Nasik along with dealerships in Mumbai, Chennai, Ludhiana and Ahmadabad has contributed to the growth in sales. Thus, the dealership for Mercedes-Benz has increased to 61 in 29 cities throughout India.

The ‘Star lease’ scheme, introduced in October this year, has also enabled more people to own Mercedes-Benz cars. Apart from this, much can be attributed to its recently launched C-Class that went on to become the leader of the segment. The C-Class launch boosted the sales adding to the overall growth of the company.
